Cheryl Baird conducts the Saddleseat lesson program at Omega Farm. Saddleseat is a traditional type of English riding. It is the basis of all riding styles. With over 25 years of riding experience she has horses and riders that have national honors. Cheryl’s professional manner and her love of teaching provide a wholesome, family-friendly environment for her students. 

In keeping with the belief that horses raise great kids, we at CBS are pleased to offer lessons to anyone wishing to ride. Riders from age five and up enjoy the personalized attention they receive in our program. Lessons begin as private, one-on-one instruction: they are 30 minutes in length with additional time spent learning the aspects of basic horse care. Lessons proceed at each rider’s pace and level of learning, based upon the mutual desire of instructor and student to achieve each individual’s goal. When a rider is safely able, at the instructor’s discretion, they may move into group lessons of 45 minutes in length with two to four riders participating. Group lessons meet once weekly. Private Lessons meet once or twice weekly.  We also offer introduction to Horses classes for Children.  This is for children 6 years old and older which includes instruction in safety, leading, grooming, tacking up and some supervised riding.  We recommend this class for all of our beginner riders.
